Brian Lara – Rank 1 Most runs scored by individuals in a Test match
It was like a crazy match between West Indies and England in 2004 and this was the match that West Indies or any cricket lover would miss. This was the match where Brian Lara scored 400* in 582 balls with 43 fours and 4 sixes.
And with this huge individual score team manages to score a total of 751 (in 5 days) and was able to win that match. UNBELIEVABLE INNING!!!

Mathew Hayden – Rank 2 Most runs scored by individuals in a Test match
In the match against Zimbabwe (2003) he manages to score 380 runs off 437 balls with 28 fours and 11 sixes.
He was the highest scorer in test matches with these 380 runs in 2003 but then Brian Lara broke that with his 400* and now he is Rank 2 in this list.
Mahela Jayawardene – Rank 3 Most runs scored by individuals in a Test match
Sri Lanka’s captain Mahela Jayawardene scored 374 runs in 572 balls with 43 fours and one six against South Africa (2006) and helped break the record for the highest partnership in Test cricket. And also manage to take the team’s score to a total of 756/5.
Garfield Sobers
A record-breaking day by the young player Garry Sobers, who turned his maiden (first/debut) Test century into a crazy moment.
He scored 365* runs against Pakistan (1958) which take him down by a mere one run than the previous highest score in Tests, Len Hutton’s 364 against Australia in 1938.

Len Hutton
In the match against Australia (1938) he was able to score 364 runs in 847 balls with 35 fours.
Not just that but because of this the team manages to make a total of 903 runs in 7 days which is like the highest in the Test match history. It’s Crazy!!!
Sanath Jayasuriya
In the test match against India in 1997, he managed to score 340 runs in 578 balls with 36 fours and 2 sixes.
Because of him and Roshan Mahanama’s 225 in 561 teams reach a total of 952 in 6 days. Highest Team Score in any test match.
Hanif Mohammad
Match between Pakistan and West Indies in 1958 in 1st Inning Pakistan was and a low score but in 2nd inning, Hanif Mohammad showed his strength against West Indies bowlers.
In 1st inning, he only scored 17 runs but in 2nd inning, he scored 337 runs can you believe the difference between the performances in both innings. It’s really UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Wally Hammond
He scored an amazing 336* runs with 34 fours and 10 sixes against New Zealand which was great in terms of the Test match.
Because of this inning, England manages to reach 548 runs in their 1st Inning. Great Play!!!
David Warner
It was one of the recent matches between Australia vs Pakistan in the year 2019.
Where David Warner showed all that how brilliant his game is not just in ODI but also in test matches.
He scored 335* runs in 418 balls with 39 fours and one six. Awesome Innings!!!
