Sunil Chhetri
He is known as the best Indian Footballer of all time. Sunil Chhetri is captain of the Indian Football team and for team Bengaluru FC in Indian Super League (ISL).
He also made his place in the top 5 highest international goal scorers with 84 goals.
P. K. Banerjee
He was a Striker who played for the Indian football team and made their appearance 45 times. He was the first recipient of the Arjuna Award in 1961 and also received Padma Shri in 1990. Sir Banerjee also received the FIFA Order of Merit which is the highest honor that FIFA awards.
Subrata Pal
Subrata Pal became the first well-known name among Indian football fans when he played for U-23 in pre-Olympic qualifiers and his plays managed the team to qualify for group stages.
He also plays International and also for ATK Mohun Bagan in ISL.
Bhaichung Bhutia
Bhaichung is a former striker who played internationally for India and made appearances in 80 matches.
His nickname was Sikkimese Sniper due to his shooting skills. He is widely known as the torchbearer for Indian Football on International Stage.

Jeje Lalpekhlua
He is regarded as one of the best Indian players because he was the second-top scorer in the history of ISL.
Jeje won the 2015-16 FPAI Indian Player of the year and AIFF Men’s Player of the year award.
Sailen Manna
He is the only Indian football player to be named one of the 10 best captains in the world by the English FA.
He received his salutation in 1953 when he was at his career’s peak.
Gurpreet Singh Sandhu
Gurpreet plays for India in international matches and also plays for Bengaluru FC as a goalkeeper and made 50+ appearances for India.
He also became the fifth Indian player to play in Europe for the Norwegian club Stabæk.
While on this club he became the first Indian player to play in UEFA Europe League.
Tulsidas Balaram
He played for East Bengal FC and many regard him as one of the best forwards in India.
Balaram represented India 27 times and also became the coach for Kolkata’s Mayor’s XI.
Sandesh Jhinghan
He plays as a center-back for ATK Mohun Bagan. He made 42+ appearances for Team India, received the Arjuna Award in 2020, and was named 2020-21 AIFF Men’s Player of the year.
Mohammed Salim
Salim played at the time of the British and was a part of the famous Mohammedan SC team in the 1930s.
He was also the first player from India to play for a European club Celtic FC.
