IPL is a format of scoring more runs in fewer bowls to achieve that players try to hit boundaries but sometimes it gets hit at such a strength that it goes beyond our expectations.

Like that here’s the list of the longest sixes hit by a player in IPL. It will be ranked by the distance and not by the year (obviously…)

So, here is the list of the top 10 longest sixes hit by a player in IPL from (2008-2020)

Albie Morkel (born 10 June 1981), is a former South African cricketer. He is an all-rounder who is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a strong left-handed batsman.

He also has a younger brother, Morné Morkel, who also played in international cricket for South Africa.

He played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) from 2008-2013 in which he also shines as a bowler and as a batsman.

He has the record of hitting the longest six of all time against Deccan Chargers (DC) spin bowler Pragyan Ojha and it was 125 meters long in IPL (2008). Can you imagine it!!!

Praveen Kumar (born 2 October 1986) is a former Indian cricketer who is a right-hand medium-pace bowler.

He played for the Indian cricket team from 2007-2012 and he relied on his ability to swing the ball both ways as he likes.

He first played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from 2008-2010. Then he played for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) from 2011-2013 as one of the death overs bowlers.

You might be thinking that why am I writing about a bowler in this list. A long six can be hit by anyone you never know.

So, he made his name as 2nd rank in this list by hitting a six against Mumbai Indians (MI) Lasith Malinga which was 124 meters long. Can you believe it!!!

He played for Deccan Chargers (DC) from 2008-2010 then he played for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) from 2011-2013 as their captain.

He made his name in this list at 3rd rank by hitting a six of 122 meters against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Amazing!!!

Robin Uthappa (born 11 November 1985) is an Indian cricketer with one of the consistent gameplays and one of the strong starting batsmen for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

He started his IPL through Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2008. Then from 2009-2010, he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Later in 2011-2013, he played for Pune Warriors India (PWI) where he starts building his game in IPL. Then the time comes from 2014-2019 he played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and he made his name there.

He also won his Orange Cap in the year 2014 when he was playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

He also has his name in this list as 5th rank by hitting a six of 119 meters long against Pune Warriors India (PWI) and it was of the same inning where he scores 175* runs in IPL (2013).

On 21 February 2020, Ross Taylor played in his 100th Test match for New Zealand, in the first Test against India.

He started his IPL career in 2014 and played for Rajasthan Royals (RR). Then from 2016-2017, he played for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), and later from 2018-2019, he played for Mumbai Indians (MI).

Gautam Gambhir (born 14 October 1981) is now an Indian politician and a former cricketer, who played in all formats of cricket.

He was a left-handed opening batsman who played for the Indian cricket team and he also captained Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

He debuts his IPL career in 2008 and he played for Delhi Daredevils (DD) from 2008-2010. Then from 2011-2017 he played and captained for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Later in 2018 he again played and captained for Delhi Daredevils (DD).

He also made his name in this list at 9th rank by hitting a six of 117 meters long against Rajasthan Royals (RR) fast-paced bowler Sreesanth. Another Monster Hitter!!!
