IPL 2022 will begin from the 1st Week of April (Still not confirmed by BCCI) and there will be a total of 10 teams this time (We will talk about new teams below).
Unlike the last 2 years that IPL happened in UAE this time it is going to be played in India.

New Teams joining IPL 2022
Gujarat Titans:
This is one of the two new teams that joined in IPL 2022. The owner of this team is SVS Capital Partners group which won the franchise with the winning bid of 5,625 crores.
They chose the former all-rounder from Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya as their team Captain for IPL 2022.
With this, they also signed up former SRH best Spinner, Rashid Khan, and former KKR opener Shubman Gill.
They also have some big players in their squad like – David Miller, Jason Roy, Wriddhiman Saha, Mohammed Shami, Rahul Tewatia.
Lucknow Super Giants:
This is the second new team that joined in IPL 2022. The owner of this franchise is Sanjeev Goenka’s RPSG Group and they won the rights with the winning bid of 7,090 crores.
They drafted former PBKS captain KL Rahul as their team captain and they also got the former Indian player Gautam Gambhir as their strategist.
With this, they signed up Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi for the team.
They have many players to keep an eye on like – Quinton de Kock, Jayson Holder, Krunal Pandya, Manish Pandey, Avesh Khan.

My Thoughts/Excitement for IPL 2022
Everyone loves to see players which compete at internationals as opponents to be in the same team. And t20 format is loved because of its limited-overs and fast-paced action.
To say in short, I am super excited because the teams are all mixed up and 2 new teams joined this year, it is happening in India and not in UAE and we just love to watch it.
