History of Chess Boxing
You might have never heard about this game and think that it is a new game but it has been active since 1992.
Since 1992 it has gone to a global scale which includes England, Germany, France, Russia, and Japan.
Chess boxing is a game that combines the two most popular games in the world: chess and boxing. The game was invented by Dutch artist Lepe Rubingh in 2003 who stumbled across the idea of chess-boxing in a French graphic novel.
How to play Chess Boxing – What is Chess Boxing? History Rules how it played
It is simple to understand like there are 11 rounds and players play in rounds of chess (4 mins can change according to the tournament) followed by rounds of boxing (3 mins can change according to tournaments). Players alternately switch between playing chess and boxing, with each round lasting five minutes.
The main objective of the game is to win either through checkmate or knockout.

Rules of Chess Boxing
- Players must not waste time when playing a chess game. If the referees think that players are, then a 10-second penalty will be added.
- Participants must have an understanding of both games boxing and chess.
- They must have a chess rating of at least 1800 to compete in the sports competition.
- Players can win from either the chess or boxing rounds.
- 6 rounds of chess and 5 rounds of boxing will be completed unless any player won before reaching the last round.

I was really shocked when I first read about this hope you felt the same way. I watched the videos but I feel it is a unique game that many of you don’t know or even cared about it.
You must say watch a few matches you will be shocked that how the gears change from chess to boxing and again to chess is just amazing.
