So I decided since ISL Season 2023/24 ended, let’s make a list of all the victories that teams got throughout this whole growth of Indian Soccer. Atlético de Kolkata (ATK Mohun Bagan FC) – 3 + 1 ISL Championships
Winning years: 2013/14, 2015/16, 2019/20

About this team and its ISL Journey
ATK (now ATK Mohun Bagan FC) has been one of the most successful teams in the ISL, demonstrating excellent football skills. Over the years, they have had several notable players representing them, both Indian and international, contributing to their success.
This team was coached by none other than Antonio López the only coach to have two championship victories and also with the same team.
The team went through some name changes and restructuring. ATK merged with Mohun Bagan AC in 2020 to form ATK Mohun Bagan FC. This merger brought together two powerhouses of Indian football, further strengthening their presence in the ISL.
Because the ATK Mohun Bagan FC was formed by this team’s players I will mention the latest championship victory in this as well.
The newly formed ATK Mohun Bagan took over the championship held by Hyderabad FC in the year 2022/23 under the coaching of Juan Ferrando.

Mumbai City FC – 2 ISL Championships
Winning years: 2020/21, 2023/24
Coaches: Sergio Lobera, Petr Kratky
About this team and its ISL Journey
Mumbai City FC represents the city of Mumbai in the Indian Super League (ISL). The club was founded in 2014 and has been a consistent competitor in the league. The team was initially owned by Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Bimal Parekh.
City Football Group (CFG), which owns Manchester City, took over ownership of the club in 2019.
In the early seasons of the ISL, Mumbai City FC showed flashes of brilliance, but struggled for consistency.
However, they underwent significant changes in the 2020-2021 season. Under the guidance of head coach Sergio Lobera, they transformed their playing style, focusing on possession-based football and attacking flair.
This change in approach proved to be highly successful for Mumbai City FC.
In the 2020-2021 season, they clinched the ISL title for the first time in their history, defeating ATK Mohun Bagan FC in the final.
After three seasons, they regained their title after defeating ATK Mohun Bagan. The team had a great season, and now they are champions and back, I suppose.
